As per tradition, we organised a team-building day again. This special day became famous under the name of KRS-Irikiri. This year, we set our destination in the marvellous mountain landscape of the Danube Bend.

On 12 June, enjoying fantastic weather and lovely surroundings, the colleagues of KRS Law Firm, divided into two groups, tried a fall and had the battle of wits and strength with their peers in Esztergom and Visegrád. And, the adventure began as early as when we were sitting on the bus heading towards our destination… First of all, the person in charge of supplying pálinka (the traditional fruit brandy in Hungary) failed to do so, and therefore we were forced to find ways to remedy this situation. It was then followed by a quiz comprising questions of strictly professional nature…

During the cultural part of our program, we visited the Treasury of the Basilica in Esztergom. It remains an unforgettable experience for two reasons. On the one hand, our tourist guide was a walking encyclopaedia; it was wonderful to listen to him, admiring his fantastic knowledge. On the other hand, we were drinking his words in the Basilica when organ music started to play and at that very same moment a text message arrived from our colleague, notifying us that her son had come into the world. It was a truly touching moment that will not be forgotten…

After that we had lunch at the restaurant of Prímás Pince where we drank a toast for the health of the new-born little David and his Mum.

During the afternoon, we were instructed to solve interesting and funny logical reasoning questions in order to see how we can work together, communicate with each other and accept each other’s opinions and responses, going through situations that do not occur in everyday life. The contest became even more interesting knowing that a prize (a treasure chest) was awaiting the winning team. For this reason, we bravely took the risk of losing the scores we had gained even when we had to carry half-full glasses, balancing on a piece of wood, from A to B with a rope tied around our waist, or when trying to get through a laser net, following in the footsteps of Catherine Zeta-Jones.

At the end of the day, a little tired but triumphant, we had dinner in a renaissance restaurant. By the time we left, even the losing team emerged as a winner. For, we are all part of the winning team. We are looking forward to the continuation of this challenging project next year…
